OPENING KICKOFF

Welcome to the Beaver Stadium of the internet.

Through good fortune, or explicit invitation, you have just arrived at what is surely one of dozens Penn State football blogs. All of the other Nittany Lion websites that pre-date this one do a thorough job of covering Dear Old State so, as you might ask, why one more?

Hopefully, the content you find on this site will answer that question for you.

This blog seeks to be observational rather than informational. You won't find breaking news here, inside secrets from sources close to the program, grainy photos taken on cell phones of an Ohio State practice or even Joe Paterno's stolen medical charts. What you will find is intelligent, opinionated and passionate Penn State football coverage, and the intention is that a portion of it will come from you.

Of course, the majority of articles and other information on this site will be provided by us, the editors; but if you have an opinion on Penn State football, we'd certainly like to hear it.

Additionally, this blog is most definitely in its infancy stages and any feedback about how to make it easier to use or more entertaining to read will be very appreciated.

Some content has been posted below from earlier in the season, but this is the first original material on here (those posts existed as e-mails before this site was created to give them a permanent home). So, without further ado, The Floating Lion is now officially launched.
